From general purpose abrasion protection needed for consumer electronics or industrial equipment, to globally qualified options suitable for the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry, Systems Protection’s abrasion protection product line covers a wide range of application needs.  Designed from lightweight textile materials, our wrappable abrasion product line allows for quick and easy installation and removal for assembly and maintenance, and is ideal for use on complex harness designs where breakouts are necessary.  Due to its expandable construction, our tubular abrasion product line can adapt to a wide range of application sizes and profiles allowing a large number of diameters to be covered with a limited range of sizes.

Wire harnesses and hoses are constantly submitted to mechanical aggression during installation, integration, operational life, and maintenance. Vibration, shock, sharp edges and tight bend radii accumulate damage that jeopardize system integrity. Wires can lose their external insulation jacket, thus triggering short circuits and arc events. Hoses can be damaged which may generate leaks. Aging of an electrical wiring system can thus result in loss of critical functions of equipment or information regarding equipment operation. Either result can lead to an electrical failure causing smoke and fire, consequently being a danger to public health and safety.
